Kpmg Lahore Partner Interview Feedback 24th May 2023
This is a partner interview feedback (KPMG LAHORE).
I think alot of focus and effort should be put for this interview.
The partners DO NOT GET IMPRESSED EASILY.
The partner was surely not insecure of my confidence but did try to break it.
He was a tough nut to crack, difficult to impress/convince.
He told me that he was not convinced and i had to do something to like convince him to hire me.
He told straight away that for his department we would prefer lums graduate (for obvious reasons ofc).
He said that he knows that i have qualified CAF and that’s why i’m sitting here so he would not ask me like course related questions. Although he did gave me a situation and asked me what i would do.
He wanted the candidates to know more about kpmg itself and why they want to come here (i only knew that it was one of the big four and that it would look good on my resume). He wanted me to know more about it, and more about the department i was going in.
Khair everybody says it is a formality (jo k hogi), i’m not sure but pls prepare, wouldn’t wanna look and sound stupid in-front of the partner.
Alsoooo do prepare some questions that you would ask bcs the partner was so upset that we students say ‘humaye kuch nae pochna’
He was like ‘European countries mei they reject you if you do not ask them anything’
I said ‘i don’t think i’m at a position to ask anything rn, i’m just a trainee’ and he said ‘it’s bad asa nae hona chahiye’
So i kept quite, didn’t wanna make it worse

Why CA?
Can we get absolute assurance in audit?
Can we achieve more than reasonable assurance in audit?
What attracted you towards CA?

Ham audit or tax ke ilawa or konsi service provide krte Hain?
What is advisory?(I told him what I knew but he said this is only 15-20% so please do prepare it well)
KPMG ke 2 Sab se Barry audit fails konse Hain?

What is power Bi? (I've mentioned it on CV) (I told him what I knew as I've just started it)

I asked What strategy he would recommend as he is quite experienced he replied....it depends on person (in short)
Everybody must be prepared to be confident and yes study about KPMG as much as you can
